Logos

Logos help visitors recognise an organization or venue and allow kulturbytes to display it consistently in different contexts.

For general information about image formats, dimensions, cropping, accessibility and other image properties, see the Images page.

Image upload

Make sure that the image quality is sufficient when uploading logos. A width of around 960 pixels is recommended. This provides enough resolution for different digital uses while keeping the file size reasonable.

Where possible, use PNG images with a transparent background, especially for logos that need to be displayed on different backgrounds.

The main logo is the standard logo of your organization or venue.

It is used when the logo is displayed on a light background.

Where possible, use a version with a transparent background.

The light logo is a light version of your logo.

It is suitable for dark backgrounds. For example, a white logo can be clearly visible on a dark background.

The dark logo is a dark version of your logo.

It is suitable for light backgrounds.

Providing different logo versions allows kulturbytes to select the most suitable image for different backgrounds and displays.

Avatar

The avatar is a simplified or square representation of your organization or venue.

It is used in places where there is only limited space for an image, such as lists, small profile images or overviews.

Good choices for an avatar often include:

  • the symbol from your logo
  • a distinctive symbol of your organization or venue
  • a square crop of your logo

Tip

If you have several logo versions, upload all suitable variants where possible. This allows kulturbytes to use the appropriate image for different backgrounds and displays.
