Organization

An organization is the parent entity responsible for venues, spaces, events, and other information in kulturbytes.

An organization can be, for example:

  • an association
  • a museum
  • a theatre
  • a school
  • a church community
  • an initiative
  • a company
  • a public institution
  • a person organising events

Who can create an organization?

Any user can create an organization in kulturbytes if they need to manage information or events on behalf of an organization or as an independent organiser.

An organization does not have to be a registered legal entity. It can also represent an informal initiative, a project, a group of people, or an individual who organises public events.

When creating an organization, make sure that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to represent or manage the organization.

Why organization details are important

The information about your organization is used to present your organization consistently across kulturbytes and its connected portals.

A complete organization profile helps people identify and contact your organization, learn more about what you do, and discover your venues, spaces, and events.

Some of this information is also used when your organization, venues, and events are displayed on other websites, calendars, and digital displays.

Organization and user account

A user account and an organization are two different things.

You use your user account to log in to kulturbytes.

With an organization, you manage the data and events of an institution or event organiser.

With your user account, you can be a member of one or more organization.

Depending on your permissions, you can, for example:

  • edit the organization’s data
  • manage venues and spaces
  • create and edit events
  • add other people to the organization

Tip

Complete your organization’s information as fully as possible.

The following are particularly important:

  • a clear name
  • a short description
  • a logo or image
  • up-to-date contact details
  • a current website

Check the information from time to time and keep it up to date.
